20 Years of Helping Children

The agency is founded by Ruth Glosser. That first year, the agency served 33 children in foster care.
The agency grows to 10 employees and is located in The Landmark Building on Main Street in Johnstown, Cambria County. The agency served 60 children this year and had 43 foster homes in 9 Counties in Western and Central Pennsylvania.
The agency continues to develop its foster care services and re-locates to its current office location at 937 Menoher Boulevard in Johnstown. The agency served 140 children and had 88 foster homes in 11 Counties in Pennsylvania.
After 10 years of foster care services the agency has helped over 900 children by providing loving and caring foster families.
Currently, the agency has 29 employees, serving an average of 260 children with 169 foster families in 18 Counties in Western and Central Pennsylvania. The agency is expanding its services to include adoption services as well as foster care services. In the 20 years of providing services, Professional Family Care has helped over 2,600 children.

PFCS staff is dedicated to the protection and safety of children and the recruitment of families in the community in order to provide a nurturing environment that supports the natural development of each child in our program."
