Early Head Start - Our high-quality research-based Early Head Start program implements a home-based option and serves families throughout pregnancy until their child reaches age three. After income eligibility guidelines are met, the service is provided at no cost to the family primarily through weekly home visits and bi-monthly group socializations.

Who is eligible? If you are pregnant or have children age three and under, live in Cambria County or the Seward or New Florence areas of Westmoreland County and meet income guidelines, you may be able to enroll your family in Early Head Start Today. All services are free! |
Personal Visits -Weekly 90-minute in home visits provide parents with information on child development, address parenting concerns,and give assistance on parent interaction with their children.
Group Socializations - We offer play groups where parents can learn from and support each other and observe their children interacting with others and practice parenting skills. Each session lasts 2 hours and is provided twice each month.
Screenings - We provide free health and developmental screenings to ensure early identification of problems.
Resource Network - Our social workers help connect families with resources. We can link them to a wide range of services from post-partum & child care to job training. |
