Our Mission

"Professional Family Care Services is a private non-profit comprehensive service agency focused on providing quality and effective child welfare services that promote and preserve healthy family relationships.

PFCS staff is dedicated to the protection and safety of children and the recruitment of families in the community in order to provide a nurturing environment that supports the natural development of each child in our program."

Our History

PFCS was founded in 1982 by Ruth Glosser. That first year, the agency served 33 children in foster care. By 1985, we had 10 employees and served 60 children in

nine counties. Only ten years after our founding, we helped over 900 children up until 1992. By 2002, our agency had 29 employees and provided services in 18 counties.

Today, we offer an even broader range of services, with the addition of Early Head Start and Early Intervention.
